Tiago is suspended for the next game, he got a yellow with 17 seconds to go of the game, all thanks to Kaká.

Anyways, Pretty closed game tonight, but it's still very open for the upcoming leg next week.

Lyon counterattack will shine in San Siro.

The game did lacked presence of a playmaker for both teams. I didn't see Pirlo do much, esp. in 2nd half. Juninho was badly needed for Lyon, who did manage to put together some good footbal second half, though their poor finishing cost them. Even the 2 centrebacks were making plays, which was kinda nuts. Takes a lot of confidence. Wiltord worked his tail off though. Good to see him resurrect his career in Lyon.

Oh well. It should make 2nd leg all that more interesting. (Note to Lyon, buy a striker off season)
Second leg really comes down to stopping Juninho for Milan.

He deserved the booking, kaka had so much room to run into and he was blatantly held back.

I had a feeling this game would disappoint, both teams seemed to cancel each other out for large parts of the game.

But for a 20 minute spell at the start of the second half Milan's defense looked very solid.

I can see this tie going the whole way to penalty's as they are very evenly matched sides.

Ofcourse he deserved the booking, was a clear yellow card.

Milan played very good at the back and didn't allow anything when Lyon tried to attack and create something offensive. Nesta was great, and the same goes with Gatusso, He played very well and worked the hell out of himself.

Dida has to get a cred to, great save on Pedretti's freekick who didn't touch Carew and was counted as a shot on goal. Saved in the last second by Milan-keeper. I've got to say that Milan played impressive defensively and even tried to create something offensively.

Kaká played great in the first half, and when he comes with a lot of speed, well, then there's no one who can stop him. He's amazing actually. I was impressed yesterday because he was one of the best players on the pitch, also Scheva is very good when he gets the chance, he didn't score though, Good thing for Lyon.
