Remember, the one thing that DA always wanted was for everyone to be happy. I know NYE is out of the picture but hopefully his legacy lives on and people will be happy because of what he did for everyone over time.

One thing I have seen over and over is how DA was the first FLTA to welcome them with open arms. This is extremely strong how much this seemed to have occurred. It says wonders for him and what a shame it is to lose such a great person.

Hi everyone, i wrote in the chill out room but i'll introduce myself here...im Raul's niece and i was the first to recieve a phonecall when the incident happened..I haven't been on TA for 4 years and it feels so weird writing here and not being able to see my uncle write after me. I want to thank all of his friends, especially all that could come to the funeral service and my house afterwards. Thank you for writing great memories about him and posting up pictures. My family and i thank you all for all your kind words and thoughts.Although this was the hardest even in my life, it has taught me a tough lesson. Please appreciate and savor every moment you have with friends and loved ones.

I poke my head in from time to time and would have never thought something like this would really happen, although admittedly, he never really seemed happy whenever I would see him. I hope that his soul finds peace and it breaks me to know that he is no longer here..

Just last night I was listening to a set that he recorded for me of my set at Blue back in 07..and then it jumped to one of his sets at a party I held at my home.. alot of Above and Beyond. His eyes would light up during conversations of music amongst other dj's and had an appreciation for trance that some people (even dj's) may never have.. Raul was the kind of person that grew on people over time and a big regret I have is not being able to have another conversation with him.

May he rest in peace amongst the angels.

Hey, just got done perusing the ol' inbox and came across oh so many correspondences from the past years....anyone have his fuck valentines day mix? I remember he always thought they was over the top w/the explosions and screams but it always ushered in a new season in my mind....damn, we need to get all of his mixes back up, R.I.P again & it seems so surreal he's gone.

Hey Nina, there you are. It was a wonderful pleasure meeting you and your family as well, considering the circumstance. It was also more than our pleasure to be part of Raul's memorial service. The look on your Grandmother's face and the emotions she showed to learn that her son did indeed have so many friends and people outside of his family that loved and appreciated him was indescribable. That moment will forever stay engraved in my head, as well as the warm welcome you and your family extended towards us.

Again no need to thank us for anything, it was our obligation as Raul's Friends to be there for Him and His Family. These are the moments that really count and the ones that will always be remembered.

Say hello to your family and I hope you guys had a wonderful Xmas and that you have a Happy New Year.
