Yeah not sure how much Gryphon had to do with it, time will tell. But considering it was packed to the rafters someone should bring them back, along with more trance. Trance still sells like water in the desert here, as long as they bring the DJs people want to see
I was @ Space for Funkagenda last week (who was good BTW). Even with its built-in established crowd, plus the fact Space was the only place playing house (i.e. urban/black/hip-hop memorial takeover), and it was a non-rotation guest DJ playing, the Space terrace @ 2:30 a.m. still was nowhere near as full as Gryphon was the night of A&B. Only when afterhours got near did the terrace start to fill up ... |
That Terrace never fills up until later in the morning. We had a lot of the Space people up at Gryphon, for Chris Lake until like 4ish and then a lot of them headed to Space. Man Funkagenda throws down a great set everytime, the dude can play and he's a cool fucking guy, one of my buddies in the industry. We have him back on Sept 5th at Gryphon.
FYI I heard some news, can't release it until its 100% confirmed but the TA fans should be happy about this booking. I definitely have never seen this guy down here at all.
