I'm aware it could be considered cheap. I usually tip, but since I'm saving for WMC, I'm protective of my money. I understand that bartenders deserve tips from mixed drinks (and believe me, I love to give them when they mix well!) but if it is a requisite for opening a coke-can like container, please go fuck yourself. There are 200 other people in the club and I can open that by myself.

Fuck that. Immediately ask to speak with the manager. If you're not getting served, then the business isn't making money. And tips aren't the concern of the manager. Service is.

IMO, tips are bullshit anyway. Staff should be paid a decent wage for their time. I'm sure management loves knowing that if a punter tips well, they get extra alcohol, at the expense of the business.

and w0rd, I wish that was the case in the US. I freaking hate our system of getting advertised one price, then paying another. I was astounded at the English system when I went over there. They factor taxes into prices beforehand, so when something is advertised 3.95, you pay four pounds, and get 5 pents back.
