Have you played Dawn of Sorrow?
The pre-order, alone, was worth getting the game.

I never played that one. I've played....
Castlevania I, II & III for NES
Super Castlevania IV for SNES
Castlevania: Bloodlines for Genesis
and the creme de le creme,
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
I also played Castlevania: Lament of Innocence (I THINK that's the title?) for PS2.
I also have Haunted Castle for MAME32 emulator...it doesn't have the Castlevania name in the title but it IS a Castlevania game, for damn sure.
IMO II is probably the worst in the series, whereas Symphony of the Night took the RPG part of II and totally re-vamped it, making the game a modern day classic...and a rare title to find nowadays.
If I ever find out who stole my copy...
You should def. check the series out. Not a terrifying game persay, like Resident Evil and Doom, but the Gothic theme and blood and gore make up for that.
