Umm no, Kubica is generally kicking his ass. He's been having too many problems in qualifying and has had some really shit races where he couldn't get into the points.

He's still a good driver though, has had some occasional good weekends, like this one. BMW shouldn't get rid of him IMO.
Maybe i confused him with kubica.

there is no point for BMW to push the development of this car; they are secured in 3rd place. They now switched focus for 2009.

I know that Kubica is bitter about this, because he's fighting for a podium finish in the general standing, now that Kimi is not on form.
After the race, he said he hopes that the team will now help him, like they've been trying to help Heidfeld to sort out his problems.

The more I think of the penalty, the more I think it makes sense. Janrno Trulli summed it up pretty well:

quote:
"In my opinion Hamilton got an advantage by cutting the chicane," Trulli told Gazzetta dello Sport. "Had he stayed on the road, he wouldn't have had the speed to overtake the Ferrari.

"In the same way at Monza someone could cut the first chicane, catch a rival's draft, and overtake him under braking at Roggia.

"When you attack on the outside, you do it at your own risk, because who's on the inside has the right to do the corner. If there isn't enough room, then you lift.

"Had there been a wall there, instead of the surfaced escape route, would Lewis have attacked anyway? Had there been gravel, he wouldn't have had the chance to attack when rejoining the track because of dirty tyres."

Amazing pole and victory for Vettel! He really drove his heart out, and deserved the race. Fantastic pace, right strategy/set up, managed his tires well, and didn't make one mistake.

Great to see some old Minardi boys finally earning a victory.

Great fucking job by Vettel.

Glad to see the podium mixed up a bit, and he really deserved to win. Given the conditions, one could argue that he did one hell of a job.

Agreed!!

I was so happy to see him command the race from the front even in the shit weather.

He drove well in difficult and changing conditions and I was nervous for a bit when it started to dry out that they kept him out too long and he might get screwed.

Hamilton was super fast coming through traffic, though I feel he used his "elbows" a bit much to get past a few people (though he was clearly quicker in almost all cases). Had he switched to intermediates on his first pitstop, he would have sacrificed a few seconds a lap at first, but then gained that back easily when the track really started to dry out. He could have even scammed the win if everything happened to fall into place.

well i think webber was catching him pretty quickly, was lapping faster than him, and hamilton "elbowed" him as you say out of the corner i think, in the same way that raikonnen pushed him out that he complained about. still got a point, but disappointing he slipped down from 3rd now vettel is ahead of him in the championship hehehe

great race once again. Monza, Spa etc always bring the good out of them. Delighted for the lad for his win, and with Kubica, Hamilton & many more youngsters coming through the future is bright. Perhaps need to lose Button, Coulthard, Barrichelo, Nakajima & possibly Kovaleinen who doesn't seem interested usually and it'd be a great roster.

First of all: excellent job by Vettel. Great to see a youngster doing such a great job with a F1 car in the rain.

As for the tyre choice, I think it simply wasnt time yet to switch to intermediates. The track wasnt ready for it yet and more rain was predicted.

Gotta admit though, i'm glad it stayed dry which forced Hamilton to do an extra pit stop. He was going way too fast through that traffic. Kimmi isnt at all at easy on damp/wet surfaces with his Ferrari and Massa also lacked some pace up front.

And whats up nowadays with that stupid rule about cutting chicanes after Francorchamps, the stewards ordered Massa to let Rosberg go by again because Massa supposedly cut the chicane, which he didnt according to me (and Martin Brundle at ITV). It was a normal racing line.

Edit: what a great comabination of national anthems that ceremony was

If you could not enjoy this race, there is no way you are going to enjoy the night race. Expect more of the same stuff in Singapore. The track engineers have said, that there are so many lights, they might as well be driving in the day.

I still cannot get over Monza. What a fantastic race. I am still excited about Vettel's performance. They are calling him 'Baby Schumi'. lol. A little early, but a very cool, calm and collected victory. And it was nice to hear the German National Anthem again after a couple of years of drought.
