Ok so it's solved. Nothing is gonna change, mods aren't gonna start banning for excessive trolling/bashing and the anti-trance geeksquad circlejerk will continue to act like douches. bravo.

No, it's not. If the same was happening a other festivals to it would be a start. Difficult to stay polite... |
it would only be a start? lol, what would be the full thing - having the music played from every set of speakers on earth simultaneously?

EDM, or other gernes played at eg Sensation, Dance Valley, Mysteryland, DefQon and Love Parade? |
edm is an umbrella term which includes 'minimal', if that's the comparison you want, fine: i was signed to all of juno's feeds during the entirety of 2005, and releases that tried to latch on to the 'minimal' trend outnumbered any other single genre.
sensation? when did they ever feature anything other than modern-trance until the last couple of years when they started latching on to the 'electro/minimal' trends? same for defqon, except they added a pinch of techno and various 'hard' genres.
mysteryland 2006 hosted these among others: Lucien Foort, Fedde Le Grand, Gregor Salto, Sven Väth, James Holden, Steve Bug, Johannes Heil, Steve Rachmad, Richie Hawtin, Bookashade, Felix Da Housecat, DK7, Jeff Bennett.
and loveparade? weren't you talking about holland? at least try to stay consistent.

Dance Valley always was the softes on, so minimal would fit there best. |
correction, dance valley was always the most varied one.

I have read people want it in a seperate area. 2005 and 2006 was a 2day event, which people see as a failure. Bet that had an influence on the number of artists. |
huh? what number of artists? regardless, this is relevant how?

Meant that much more DJ's were playing Minimal at other festivals too, not just at Dance Valley.

Within EDM, I know ist the umbrella...
That's more like an answer I expected. Can't check it, but at least probably it's based on something.

Thought Mysterland always had most areas and by that most variation, from extremly hard to soft.

I am, my 'area' also covers Belgium and partly Germany, I live 15 km from the German border, 15 km from the Belgium border and 200 km from Amsterdam, but I didn't mention that.

Because it went from one day to two the numbers of DJ's could grow for all genres, but forget about that, maybe I shouldn't have mentioned that.
I guess a clear answer to the question "When can a genre be called Huge?" doesn't exist.
