VIP 2-day ticket: On sale 4/20 @ 12:00 pm, $250-400
GA Sat ticket: On sale 4/20 @ 12:00 pm $65-85
VIP Fri ticket: On sale 4/20 @ 12:00 pm $125-275
GA Sat ticket: On sale 4/20 @ 12:00 pm $75-90
VIP Sat ticket: On sale 4/20 @ 12:00 pm $150-300
All subject to change, since they already have...
Oh, and VIP is 21 and older.
I just checked and they changed again.
I'm showing TM tickets at $113 total - only 99$ for a Friday and Sat GA ticket.
Ticket Price
US $99.00 x 1
Price Details
Facility Charge
US $2.00 x 1
Convenience Charge
US $12.00 x 1
Even though on the ticketmaster page is says UNRESERVED GENERAL ADMISSION prices 129-159 for the 2 day pass, when I actually search for tickets as "Best available" section I find the 99$ one. It's 7$ cheaper than groovetickets and you get a hard copy. I'm thinking this is the way to go - if that's the actual price.

no disrespect on the list but may i ask why the official list is so short yet many artists have this posted on their sites? djs generally don't post tbds especially for a fri or sat since those are their prime booking days...
anyway, i like the day time aspect...2am twice is good enough as long as the talent is decent all through the day.

To his defense, Trump didn't even really look like a bum.

i think i might have click the "buddy" button on accident, opps haha.
anyway i bought (2) 2 day tickets off of ticketmaster for $99 each. $113 each after the fees. The total was $230 after the processing fee or whatever. I think it was about $11 cheaper than groovetickets.

EDC was huge last year, far bigger than in 2008. I don't know why Insomniac would want to screw with the closing time. (If there really is a new law, then forget this statement)
Has Insomniac been getting some pressure to convert EDC to a day-time festival? You are definitely in the minority about wanting this. Most people arrive at nighttime even though the event starts in the afternoon.
Starting earlier to accommodate more DJs is fine, but that has nothing to do with how late the event should run. (Again, if there is a new law, then forget this statement)

are you serious? i know you work with insomniac and all but have you actually been to an EDC henry? people don't really start to show up until sundown! and how does starting at 2pm and ending at 2am help anything? last i checked thats still 12 hours, same as if you started at 4pm and ended at 4am! and why such a steep increase in ticket prices this year? last year i paid 200 for both days VIP. i hope that extra 50 isn't just going to pay deadrat's asking price!

If we buy tickets for Friday and Saturday, does anyone know if we will get two separate tickets in the mail like last year? Or will it be a single ticket good for two days?

and really for as much as they're charging this year, they should AT LEAST have a full line up by now! i'm sick and tired of hunting through every dj's myspace page to find out who's going to be at EDC! when can we expect to hear something concrete besides the artists listed on groove tickets?

Maybe Insomniac has a multi-year plan to convert EDC to a day-time event... push back the festival 2 hours a year. In four more years it will start at 6am and end at 6pm. Then it truly will be a day-time festival.

this thread has jumped about 4 pages since the weekend. Releasing the partial lineup is part of the plan. Its a teaser. Keeps you guessing. Most importantly, it keeps the youngsters guessing hopefully purchasing tickets early also.
The 2AM thing. I don't know. I'm sure Henry probably doesn't know but will try and find out. Knowing Insomniac though, it probably wasn't a decision they made themselves. They were probably pressured by the city a little considering the craziness of last year (remember that the cops had to shut down the music in coliseum in order to maintain the crowd). Lots of possibilities on this.
