Walt's transformation is the driving engine of the show. Jesse's character has far less depth, and Mike even less than him. I like them both, don't get me wrong, but Walt's adherence to the idea of family first mixed with his ego born of being so intelligent and having been trampled on since before the beginning of the show is the focus. I'm not saying that has to be anyone's favorite part of it, but that is the central theme.

Walt's character would have never even been possible without Jesse. He's just as important to the show, regardless of whether he's the "main" character or not. He needed Jesse from the very beginning, and has needed him ever since. Walt would be dead right now if it weren't for Jesse, and that's been true for quite awhile.

And the same is true on the other side. Jesse needs Walt just as much as Walt needs Jesse.
If less is more think about how much more more would be.

Right, according to how they wrote it after deciding to keep him. They would have worked around it if they killed him off.

Yeah Mike is a boss.
Though I'm pretty sure his decision is going to spell out for some serious trouble down the road. Then again, all of his money for his grand-daughter is effectively gone, so what could he do?
Providing for families is a great motivator.

With each passing episode I think "what a fuckin great show." I haven't had this sort of experience with TV before: being so interested in the characters from week to week.
