I usually ball them together when I take them off the clothes line, so I can find both socks when I want them. That said, I still have a shitload of lost socks

I definitely go for balling them up in pairs. Sometimes I'll get lazy with the regular ones, but for dress ones, it's way too irritating to have to look through a drawer full of long black socks for the ones with the same stitching.

i've had that problem before too. and just decided to throw out the ones w/ diff stiching and buy all the same kind. likewise w/ the regular white socks too.

i dunno why it matters, cause it's not like anyone sees my socks. must be one of those random OCD habits i have. hah

lol I finally did that with all my underwear...then again, you don't need that in pairs

I don't think I have any identical pairs of socks.
