any error you get you should google it with shoutcast. Also their forums have a wonderful FAQ that covers about every error.

I think your problem is you need to open port 8000 & 8001. it might be closed on your router/modem/firewall.

yeah i was trying one earlier, got hung up most of the way through
i've been through the whole port forwarding thing last year setting up my modded xbox's internet shit, and i know how to do it easy
problem is, normally you go to the command prompt and type ipconfig/all, then it gives you the ip, subnet mask, default gateway, and dns servers (two of em)
everything reads what it should, except instead of 2 dns servers, it just says 192.168.1.1
which doesn't make any sense
and thats for the wifi connection i'm using to get here, so obviously its nothing seriously wrong or i wouldn't be able to reach tranceaddict, but yeah

its been a while since I fooled with shoutcast. It has given me plenty of headaches over the years. When I had DSL I had to get into the modem and fix a few things through a dos screen...


so I am pretty much retired from shoutcast configuration
