...I agree with Kaniz that he in the past has been pretty hit or miss. Although the last 5 or 6 times I've seen him he's been at least good, but usually really good. I think it has to do with the fact that he's drinking again lol. Drunk Richie = better set.

I remember that System night. I sat there listening to him try so hard and he was totally not hitting it right. I stayed till the end. Sat at the front until he started to feel his music again and drop some better sounds.

What can also be true is: Us drunk = Richie sounding better too
For me he's been hit or miss too but I will say he gives his all and I have great respect for a man that honours his craft. Since I'm not a fan of all things mainstream or tv...hearing his name mentioned on Oprah would never be the deciding factor. It's what my ears, mind and pulse says when I hear him live.
There are so many great dj's out there and a lot of minimal tech in the industry. Richie Hawtin as #1 for me...I'm not so sure.
