ouch
in talking to a few hockey nuts at work, we all agreed he wouldn't get suspended. I haven't read or seen what the experts have been saying but when watched at regular speed (which is very fast) it looks like a hockey play, as dirty as the intention or outcome may be.
That said, I think retribution will happen during the regular season next year.

I'm such awe... A player almost lost his life and if not dead could of easily been paralyzed or lost his ability to walk and use his limbs. And the NHL DOES NOTHING!. Some people say that the hit is "legal", anywhere else on the rink he would of not been hurt. But he wasn't anywhere else. And Chara with some experience as a hockey player should know that it's unbelievably dangerous. I think Chara wanted to hurt him(NOT TO THAT EXTENT) and he wanted to throw him over the boards, onto his bench. Well that didn't work quite well and the kid almost lost his life and the league thinks that it's all good....Shit happens.... I guess we're going have to wait until someone dies before the league wakes up. WOULD BE quite ironic if it's the son of Cambell.

Colin Campbell's son being on Boston saved Chara plain and simple. Any other team and they would've at least done the minimum just to please the fans. Can't afford to lose Chara at this point in the race...
Ridiculous they even let him hold that position with his son in the league. Just imagine if it was an incident directly involving Gregory Campbell and he had to make a call with his son involved. Clouded judgement? Nawwwww

Mr Chara is a big man with a big stick but he deserves a butt ending or spear
