i think you are missing the overall picture assuming social likeness on what happened hundreds of years ago. The fact that Quebec and the french population are nothing like americans while those in Alberta are pretty much identical makes your fighting the loyalists prerequisite to being American or almost American absurd.

If it were not for air support that arrived towards the end of the battle of the buldge, the nazis might of broken thru and won the war.
