Yes and no. I think that, in theory, it's a great idea. It seems, though, that it would be something that is difficult to practice. People aren't just going to go to bed and wake up the next morning thinking, "You know, that bitch said all of this shit about my wife/lover/whatever, but it's the next day, so I'm OK." I can see stuff like this being taken to PMs, which are impossible for the mods to police. Also, what is the cutoff? Midnight in a specific timezone? When you wake up? What if you haven't been to sleep?
I think that your idea has a lot of potential, but it would require a lot of stern moderation from the mods, which is something that the COR is not used to at all. |
Bahahahaha if people wake up the next day still upset about some shit that happened ON THE INTERNET WITH STRANGERS then perhaps what they need is a break from the internet, lol.
But your suggestion about taking things to pm is good. And yes the cutoff would be sometime late at night. We do have some overlap in time zones don't we?
Stern moderation? Maybe in the beginning. But if they stick to the rules and follow through every time, people will see that its for real. Like training a puppy.
I don't see what the big deal is. Again, if I'm okay with it, everyone else should be too.
