As for your first point yes you have have have some Jewish lineage and be able to prove it to the Israeli Government in order to gain Israeli citizenship because it is a Jewish state. This fact would make the comparision of Canada's and Israel's immigration policy laughable and if Canada was like Israel and was a Catholic state with the same kind of rules as Israel then only people with Catholic Lineage would be able to gain citizenship unless you were Native and have been here for many centuries which would be the equivalent. If this was the case then any one who was fully Muslim, Jewish, Bhuddist, Hindu, Seikh ect. blood wise wouldn't be able to gain Canadian citizenship.
The second point is interesting and I guess Israel could have changed up their laws since so many high end members of orginized crime were using Israel as a safe haven for so many years.If this law has since been adjusted then so be it.
So we have established that the only way in which you can get Israeli citizenship would be to have some Jewish lineage and be able to prove it, be an Arab or Christian who survived all the bullshit and didn't refugee else where and has had your family living there for many many many man years which if someone was part of this group then they surely wouldn't have left or be able to fool the Israeli Government into thinking that you are Jewish and being able to prove it or make it happen one way or another which is very difficult so which one is it Startsearcher?
