So this is how i see the parties after this election.

Conservatives - Powerful party with a ticking time bomb for a leader
NDP - Strong party with a strong leader
Liberals - a part with no leader
Bloc - A party without a party or a leader
Green Party - A party with a leader but no party.

If he does, we are screwed for the next 4 years and he will mostly likely wont survive the election in 2015.

If Harper knows what is good for him, he will try and work on making the system better, while allowing people to choose private health care.

Plus didn't the idea of Universal Healthcare come out of Alberta many decades ago? If something doesn't work out, we still have the GG that can squash Harper.

Still shocked at yet another low voter turn out. It is sad that canadians just don't care about their country.

So now that the HARPER Govenment is fully in power, welcome to America North...let's see...continuing deregulation, increased corporate lobbying and military expenditure, robbing from the poor to handout to the rich, more federal prisons to "handle" the desperate, a big fuck you to environmental stewardship...the list just goes on...

Jayx1 must be jumping for joy.

it will never happen....there is just too many risks of tampering.

I'm just saddened that my grandfathers fought to protect our rights and allow us to have this democratic process so people can sit at home and not take the 10 minutes it takes to vote.

And in 5 years they will be reelected due to the good job they have done. Dont worry, Canada just saved itself from economic disaster.

2 down and 1 to go. Mcguinty is next!

Uhh no. Canada doesn't even use computers to let people choose their leader.

I will stick to paper and a pencil thank you very much.

Iggy just announced his resignation. Iggy wants the Liberals want to be its own party, but he will let the others in the Liberal party decide.

2008 - QUEBEC
Bloc - 50
Liberal - 13
Conservative - 10
NDP - 1
Other - 1

2011 - QUEBEC
NDP - 58 (+51)
Liberal - 7 (-6)
Conservative - 6 (-4)
Bloc - 4 (-46)

No surprise there. The next two years will be interesting for the Liberal Party. I don't see them electing a new leader in the next two years as there is no rush to do so. They will let Bob Rae be the house leader since he is the senior guy but I don't think he will become the next leader of the Liberal Party. This is the Liberal's chance to strip things down and start fresh. Before the election I thought you might see a combining of the liberal and NDP but with the NDP having such a strong showing I don't see that happening now. I do think we will see Justin Trudeau emerge as the new leader of the Liberals. I would prefer him to have another election under his belt before being the leader but I think he is the only choice at this time, unless someone surprises people in the next two years.
