I'm pretty sure he means he got pulled away from "Trance" which despite what you say is a sinking ship. Sure there are still producers out there putting out great stuff but the Trance Superpowers have jumped on the pop music music bandwagon so its over. I don't even care that they do change their sound, just say so already. But no, they keep espousing they are playing "trance" at least Tiesto and PVD moved on and told us they were doing something else. Some of us on here just want to warn people if what they are expecting is a great trance set from some of these parties, that's not the case anymore.

You can defend them all you want, in fact I admire you for doing so, but don't you find it a little suspect that whenever these characters change their style and sound - it's always a "coincidence" they select whatever sound happens to be "popular" that month? - John Askew

A lot of artists today are just victims, not having control, and they're not free. And that's pathetic. If you start being dependent on money, then money has to reach a point to fit your expenses. - Thomas Bangalter

Yes pvd admin ect are all fake music. You might catch them on a good day but its rarw they play like they did in 07/08.. Its like my hip hop roots. I listened to "real" hip hop ie, styles p, currency, ect ect. What you hear on the radio is just scratching the surface.

Until you go to a diff type of party and feel the vibe, feel the music and see the style involved in every thing at the event you will change your mind. 95% of people on these forums have, it's not just a coincidence.

Here is a great quote from a guy I met from holland at last wmc when I asked him about trance in holland "every kid starts out with trance, I listened to armin and tiesto when I was a teenager 10 years ago".

Don't get me wrong either I would check out that cold harbour party in a sec if I was down there early in the week, but it seems those guys are the only ones I can still tolerate.

If you want to check out one of the parties I'm talking about and don't have nobody to chill with you can meet up my wife and I and a few friends. Andy can vouch were bit weirdos. Not trying to hate just speaking some knowledge

I was about to say, when I think of "real" hip hop, I don't think of Lox... Big L, Wu Tang, Illmatic Nas, Kool Keith, Jurassic 5, etc come to mind.

gotta admit though, if you go over to Holland, you'll see that they still have a real trance scene, people are still very much into that sound over there... made me kinda jealous when I went there for ADE, that Luminosity party was the shit and to be honest it was 90% locals whereas most of the other big ADE parties had a lot of foreigners. Had a local dude about my age (late 20s) ask me what I was planning to do the rest of the week and I said Awakenings, Mobilee Warehouse, etc and he told me I'm doing it wrong, I should do more trance cuz it's the mecca of trance these days. Just a cool vibe.

and I have never hard Paul Oakenfold play like he did that night in person...shit was sick...

yeah I admit I don't follow hip hop at all anymore, but I have to say that Jadakiss WAS pretty fuckin talented, and I always thought it was a waste that he was signed to Bad boy.

Oh, and I forgot to mention (take this with a grain of salt)

Friend over at Hyde @ SLS told me they were 90% sure of booking Armin & Carl Cox for two separate day pool parties. I know they already confirmed the Avicii hotel thing.

But he explained to me that those were gonna be their 3 big bookings.

We shall see.
