I'm really glad some of the dealers I've had in years past are long gone from my life - if I had to listen to one more "I'm telling you man - some day, I'm going to be doing ________. I'm gonna be someone, man!" stories from a few of those folks there's a good chance I'd have become a murderer by now.

Indeed, but good lord is it ever true.

I've debated whether or not to even bring this up on the forums for the past few days, because it's one of those things that's personal and a bit whiny, but Myra and I are heading to a funeral for one of my aunts later this afternoon. I hadn't seen her in over a year, but she was a huge influence on me (no need for a long rant on the details - she was just a good person who I admired very much).
I've kind of tried to ignore the fact that I'm going to a funeral because I've been working so hard on finishing the semester, but now that it's a few hours away I'm just really uneasy about it all. The last funeral I was at was for a good friend, and probably the most difficult I've ever been to. This is bringing a lot of that back, and though I'm obviously going - I can't deny that there's part of me that really, really doesn't want to (for purely selfish reasons).

/emo rant
When I was about 12yrs old I had a very important person in my life die. Going to the funeral was probably the most painful thing of it all. Seeing that the person is really gone, hits so hard. You don't really come to believe it fully, till you see person in the casket. It's just so surreal until you see them in front of you dead.

With regards to funeral, about 3 years back, my grandma died, it was the first death in my close family that I had experienced. Since we burn the deceased, all the elder sons and grandsons had to help in lighting the body. It was the most painful thing I have ever done.
Death = Not win
EDIT: Sounds ironic that I'm talking about my pain when someone is dead
EDIT: Rob, are you uneasy because it's a funeral, or because your aunt has expired?

More the funeral than anything else. I'm sad that my aunt is gone, but she had a long, full life where she got to do loads of things - far more than most get to.
I'm just uneasy at funerals in general, and I never really know what to say.

Most people tend to not say anything, but in my opinion, there is no specified behaviour or etiquette at funerals. It's one of those occasions where what you do, or what you say doesn't really count. Someone's dead and we're paying our respects, and judging people at such a time would be idiotic.

Hope it goes well

yeah, the ****s are at it again today, both lunchtime and this evening. Here's hoping they bought expired chicken or get botchelism. The little ****s kids ran out infront of our car earlier, but if we were to hit them, we'd be to blame. A worldwide ban on breeding is needed!

lol we're not THAT bad compared to most places, eg london has had yet another stabbing today of a teenager who's died, but compared to the posh upper class scum, we are low grade humans. Sure we have brains, but at what price?
