Well I expect to cop a little flack for this post, but I'm gonna say it anyway.
I think I must ahve been at another night than most people here. As overall I thought the night was just good, but nothing 'special' at all really. RVG played too hard way too early, Started off with a couple of prog tunes, (probably the only few he owns), then cut loose with trance anthems way too early. The idea of his set was to warm up for ferry, not play anthem after anthem, and spoil things. I think those who thought it was great must have dropped too early and got carried away with it all. Yeah for sure he played some great tunes, but there was no journey or thought to it. No build up to the main act. His mixing was BPM matched thats it, for someone of his so called experience I expected a lot more. rather than hold the mix for a bar or two and then cut the next tune in hard everytime.
So by the time Ferry started, the sound for the night was simply burnt out and had already been done by RVG. Ferry played some great stuff but it was simply all pretty much along the same lines for 3 hours. I reckon he should have started with rock you boday and all the electro stuff 1st, to reset the crowd after Ronald.
Side room action was ok, each dj was lucky to have his crew there and some TA'ers (thanks guys), for support though, or each of us would have been playing to a near empty room. It didn't seem like people in the main room were at all interested in what was happening there at all....
Thoughts???

Yeah, the sound right in front of the dj booth was bad, it was just a dead spot, if you stepped back a few metre's it improved pout of sight.
QBH sounded the best I'd heard it in ages though, full credit to JB. And th enew dance floor set up is awesome!!
No complaints about the crowd, I reckon the vibe was really good, as usual i chatted to many.
I think RVG was a bit off his head, coz if he'd looked around the rest of the crowd and not paid all his attention to the crazies :-) in front. he would have quickly realised he needed to tone it down and work the rest of the crowd and build the vibe properly.
