i have...three of them in the past year and a half. maybe you do know the difference, but when floorfiller talks about ASOT, mentioning armin's live performances doesn't really even come into the equation

And like I said, I think that is the problem that people seem to have. They can't differentiate what he is doing with ASOT versus what he does live. Being a part of his live set is just a mind blowing experience.

So why is it the norm to class people who like techno or prog to be more intelliegent? surely as those forms of music rely mainly on rhythm and not melodic elements those genres of music are simple.
I'm not saying techno or prog are more intelligent. But come on, would Frasier listen to Crazy Frog?

Nothing fucks me off more than a fan that thinks a DJ can do no wrong. There is a lot of good music out there. How some people can be so easily pleased is beyond my comprehension.

Well the intelligent person would listen to it and draw his own conclusions and respect why people may like it.

Yeah, conclude that it's stupid and only simple-minded people would like it.

if you were that into your music you wouldm't be bothered by what other people listen to unless ou are into the scene to be cool or due to the fashion.
You must also remeber the context your music is ment to enjoyed, Crazy frog is a novelty tune and by those standards its tops.

Mate, you've talked yourself into a corner.
Saying that tastes in music is defined by the intelligence of the listener is rediiculase, and whilst it can be applied in many senses, this does not make it fact.
People like what they like, for you too say that you have superior intelligence due to fact that you don't like trance and I do is holier than the Bible thinks it is.
Your statement would mean that there is no way that the geniuses of now and then would not like stuff that you consider to be simple because of their intellect, and how on earth could you ever state that even as a loosely backed up 'fact'?
