I think I can understand where you're comming from, and I tend to agree..

On another point, I'm not so certain that all people popping pills do it for the sole reason of getting fucked. That draws a pretty strong distinction, in that someone can enjoy ONLY the music, or ONLY going out with their friends, or ONLY the drug experience, and that is something I disagree with. I enjoy my friends, and I enjoy my music, and I enjoy it slightly differently (not better or worse mind you) with the drug twist.

Yeah I think that's where my post was grossly misinterpreted, but I'm too lazy to further explain what I meant. I guess EVERYthing needs to be spelled out on the internet. I fail at communication.

They're doing it to change their mental state.
Obviously not everyone is out to get totally mashed, but the underlying intention is the same whether you're on pill 5 at dinner time on Sunday or you're on a dancefloor or at a cottage party or whatever.

From the people I know, I would say less than half do it to get fucked (in the head) and the other half do it to increase their energy/cardio in order to dance longer.

Everybody does drugs for their own reasons....
There are those who do it just to get fucked and look like idiots...
There are those who do it because they can't enjoy the music any other way...
Then there are those who do it just to get some energy in them...This is where I come in and do a half or one to last a little longer...because 8-12 hours cannot be done sober with me...
(ofcourse there have been many nights when I just wanted to get high, anybody who has done e can say that the high is incredible )
