I agree with you entirely when it comes to endangering yourself or others by swerving to avoid a dog or whatever poor creature is in that position. Run right through...for safety.
But hitting your hazards and pulling off to the shoulder is not the same thing. It is hazzerdous and will no doubt cause some traffic and road rage but no one who is actually paying attention to the road in front of them will hit you. And the ones who aren't paying attention might hit you anyways.

this is obviously not a highway safety 101 thread, but you should never stop on a highway, nor get out of your car or worse never walk on a highway, ever ever ever, even if its on the shoulder. It's extremly dangerous and put your life and others' at risk.

Sonic is in a movie airing on the Hallmark channel and Global with the chick who plays Dr. Bailey on Grey's Anatomy. It's called Accidental Friendship, and here's a behind-the-scenes look at Sonic and Cricket's (also my dog, but doesn't live with me anymore) contribution. Hehe...I'm such a proud mom!

Westminster Kennel Club Show was on TV today!!!
anyone who says dogs can't see TV is full of it because I haven't seen Tank's ears perk up this much for an hour of TV since I watched a Disney flick called 8 degrees below with paul walker (most of the film is cgi of huskeys hunting in a pack)
but Im officially a dog nerd and I can't help thinking of the movie 'best in show' with the sctv alumni bwahahahha!!!!
just wanted to see if anyone else watched all those beautiful knines strut their stuff ?!?!!?!
