So I did early afternoon shopping to avoid trolley fights and whores in SUV's/4WD's/Trucks trying to kill me and my mistake going there hungry... we're going to be eating chicken for about a week.
$8.95, on special 4kgs of roast portion bits of chicken! *yoink*
4 carrots
1 lemon
...no this story is not going where you think
1 big brown onion
1 parsnip
1 turnip
Other bits- Mix all together thoroughly
tbs of rosemary
tbs of mint
5 diced garlic cloves
1/2 tbs chives
1/2 tbs coriander
1/2 cup of olive oil
1 cup of hot water
Chop the lemon into slices and wedge in between the bits of chicken in the backing tray
Chop carrots, parsnip and turnip into large chunks and fit in there too
Dice the onion heavily so its in large lumps
Pour the herb/oil/water mix over the lot
180degC for 1hr covered in tin foil, then drop it down to 150degC for about an hour without the foil... should work... theoretically

There was about 6 drumsticks, 4 breast quarters and some other 4 or so random, vaguely chicken-like, large chunks from some part of the bird
There's only 2 of us and one really p-off cat that's just going 'where's mine?'... meow... 'no seriously you fat bitches aren't going to eat all of that are you?'

That was just up at one of the local Woolworths, didn't really have a plan as I was just going to get some soft drinks and other bits and pieces we seem to have run out of at the time and grabbed them as they where too cheap to pass up on special.

That's lame, I've never seen our Woolworths have any deals even CLOSE to that.
Meh, we get most of our meat from the butcher down the road anyway.

Same when I can be bothered to make the trip up there.
Sometimes its not worth it if I'm just getting a few bits and pieces to go to the butchers... besides, I get carried away with all sorts of stuff which 2 people + cat simply can't eat all at once

Gah! Fuck you!
I started growing herbs on my deck, but the god damn possums like to snack on it (read as: eat the fucking lot).
The only one the little fucker doesn't like is the mint
