A lot of people are complaining on here about the USA just getting involved in other parts of the world for no reason, i think everyone is forgetting that the USA never gets involved unless its to protect its own interests - every time the USA gets involved, if you notice, its to protect a country that provides us with a good or product that we need....
i.e. Kuwait supplies us with 80% of our oil... now when Iraq invaded Kuwait that threatens our oil supply, thats why we invaded Iraq.... its not to be "the most powerful country in the world"...
people seem to forget this when saying the USA just likes to bomb places for no reason - there is ALWAYS a reason.
I agree that it is wrong to beat up the arabs in the streets... that is messed up. But this does not mean we can't blame the arab groups responsible for this. I realize there are a lot of Arabs on these boards, and for those of you who are offended by what i say, i apologize, but all of my statements have been directed towards the groups that perpetrated these events, and NOT yourselves. No need to place blame, and no need to get all patriotic towards your countries right now. if anything this is a time for silence.
now as far as those saying "stop blaming arabs" at all, i think that is not necessary... there are only 5 suspects, (2 of which are brothers), and they are ALL arabs. The truck found on the bridge had arab flight manuals and flight schedules. Nobody is saying ALL arabs are guilty.... I don't see how you get offended if you are not the ones who did this? IF 5 americans were suspects in bombing the crap out of major buildings overseas for no reason, then i would be all for apprehending the suspects. I wouldn't say "why blame americans".
and for those wondering why Iraq hates us and why they celebrate when something bad happens to us, i'll tell you why. We never did anything bad to them, they hate us b/c we interfered in their conquest to take over other countries... we basically got involved in their business, and that is why they don't like us. The difference between Iraq and the USA is that we DON'T attempt to take over other countries, and we don't start wars with neighbors b/c they believe in a different faith than us. You don't see the USA invading Canada to take over their logging industry (bad example), you don't see the USA taking over Mexico..... so how can you wonder why the USA is any different than Iraq or other middle-eastern countries who get involved in war with the USA? I think its pretty straight-forward.
and unfortunately they use propaganda, so most of the otherwise-innocent citizens now think that every american is the devil. i saw someone post "how do we know they use propaganda"? well, i myself have SEEN commercials from the middle east, and i know they exist. Tell me this: if the USA is wrong, and these right-wing middle east religious groups correct, how come 90% of the rest of the world sides with the USA? do you think it is right to train kids to be human bombs and walk into places to kill others? I don't see the USA training kids to hate others (at least not on a professional, organized level), nor do you see the USA strapping bombs on kids and telling them its honorable to die for the "cause".
THAT is the difference between the middle east and the USA.
Note: i never accused amit, Taub, or DJ MG of perpetrating these crimes, NOR did i blame your entire people. All i have been doing is defending the USA. So lets quit with the flames.
