pnc park and jacobs field are two really nice ballparks...i highly recommend that you hit both

That's just surprising because the thought that some team would actually take Millar is ludicrous... I pray Theo trades Millar... he is so awful... PLEASE TAKE that bum...

I don't know why the O's traded Ponson... but I'm an idiot... and I always take NAMES over talent... so I tend to think Nevin might hit like he did a few years ago... but probably not... so I don't know why they got rid of Ponson... kind of sucks, because Sidney had to endure all those shitty years of losing in Baltimore... then he's the first to go... that sucks...

Perhaps because Ponson's part of the problem, not the solution. ERA of 5.91 and a WHIP of 1.70. That's dreadful! The guy is a big fat tub of goo and has sucked for the last two years. Last year he had an ERA of 5.30 with a WHIP of 1.55. That's bad for anyone.

And they say that they would have to get rid of Ponson's salary so they can acquire some more later in a trade (like for Burnett). I think it's a spin move, trade him to free up salary to get someone else.

Mark Redman is a possibility I read somewhere too.

Just like the Yankees, when does Kevin Brown stop being an answer and becomes part of the problem? His ERA is 6.50 with a WHIP of 1.72. Tough to even keep the Yankees in the ballgame at those numbers. When do you give up on these guys performing?

all you have to do is kill rich harden, barry zito, and nick swisher .. anyways, the a's did an awesome job by picking up jay payton from the red sox .. great move .. the yankees could have picked him up to fill the cf spot obviously bernie williams seems not to be filling ..

and for the astros, well just take away berkman and ensberg's juices, then you have a minor league team ..

I don't think the Red Sox would trade with the Yankees in the heat of pennant race for anybody. Or if ever for that matter. Only perhaps if Oakland was willing to spin him around to NY. But Billy Beane isn't enamored with the Yankees and rarely wants to trade anybody to them. Especially since they are competing for the wild card as well at the moment.

Yanks need pitching and should just put Bubba Crosby in CF to spell Bernie. Don't trade minor league talent for a guy that doesn't upgrade the area that much. Like Randy Winn.... no thanks!

10. Bernie Williams (OF, Yankees, $12,357,143)
Oh, Bernie. He's one of our favorite Yankees (and we don't have many). But he's hitting .240 with six HR and 37 RBI, which projects out to well off his lifetime marks in those categories, and he's one of the worst regular outfielders in the bigs, ranking 79th in win shares.

7. Sidney Ponson (SP, Orioles, $8,500,000)
Left-handed hitters must drool when they see they'll be facing Baltimore's 253-pound warrior. They're hitting .361 against him this year, with a nifty .928 OPS. If only that were the whole story. Ponson never has been much better than average, but in 2004 (11-15, 5.30 ERA) and again this year, he has been much worse. Hence the 7-9 record, and the 5.91 ERA. And in July, he has been just awful, losing four straight and piling up an 8.84 ERA for the month. That's trade bait only for a team that's starving.

3. Kevin Brown (SP, Yankees, $15,714,286)
The best thing that can be said about Brown is that he has been consistent this season. He has been hit hard at home, and he has been hit hard away. Both lefties and righties get on base at about a .390 clip against Brown, a dismal stat. Well, not as dismal as his 6.51 ERA -- almost double his lifetime mark.
