PVD = best set ever. Did Ultra mess up with Tiesto and PVD as far as who is live lol? PVD was live tiesto was not - and i think Tiesto blew big time.

Too damn tired to write a review now, overall though i give ultra day 1 a weak score but day 2 an easy A (hope the 2 day thing continues though). Talent was great, sets were great, and stage production was WOW! Thanks for the lasers this year on both stages. Neat thing with the laser bend on the main stage (not sure if it was on the house stage also). Rain seemed to make the event better (glad it stopped at night).

CL played PSY!!! WOOT WOOT! Instead of IM this year, CL did the psytrance. Much love for that.

PISSED OFF there is no DVD from last year!!!

At first the rain was tolerable...but after a while it began to become a nuisance. It messed up Digweeds incredible set for a while. Although, the Carl Cox tent was just incredible. Like always, Cox ripped it up nasty as well as Tenaglia. From the mainstage, Christopher Lawrence played a great set, SvD, despite it being short, played a great one too. And of course : Paul van Dyk played a hell of a set. Benny did a superb job closing out the house stage, but PvD was definately the better set guy. Overall, quite a fantastic night but many people are sick from the rain .

First day I got there at 8. I went straight to the Onbeat stage. Set Change and Digitalism did great. It was my first time listening to them. Later, I went to the DanceRock? stage and I saw David Waxman finish his set which was good too. After him was MSTRKRFT and they start off good but then I got bored. After that I went to the main stage and I saw Fedde le Grand. He was awesome but I got there when he finished. Then ofcourse is Tiesto and I wasnt too surprised about his set. It started off ok but I lost interest so I went back home.

Second I got to Ultra at 3:30, so I missed half of Ferry's set cuz of my dumb ass brother. He was playing "Beautiful and it was awesome and I love how he finished his set with his remix of Madagascar. Then was Sasha and John Digweed but I wasnt too into it plus the FUCKING RAIN came. Then I saw Roger Sanchez with some parces from school and it was fucking great except the rain. I had to seek shelter but the Red Bull tent was packed, so I entered the Carl Cox tent all soaked but Fat Boy Slim was spinning some great shit. After the rain stoped I bought a shirt to stay dry but it get wet still when more rain came. After that I didnt really wanted to see anyone but Sander van Doorn or Paul van Dyk but I said fuck it im going home. Then the metrorail took forever and I was freezing my ass off. I hope next year the weather gets better.

BTW
Did it ever stop raining?

Yea from 9 on it didn't rain anymore. I thought about leaving, but I didn't pay $70 for nothing.

everything I heard about his sets being amazing were true. Such sick track selection! I hope someone posts a TL or at least some ID's...I could hardly ID a lot of the tunes he dropped.

Interestingly enough, I'm not reading any bitching about Ultra's waiting in line for drinks or will call's dilema like years before.. the only bad thing that seems to have damped the festival was the rain, but even that was a whole new experience.

Oh yeah man for sure...I actually liked the rain for the most part (aside from it being freezing cold at night). People were going crazy in the cox tent dancing in the pools of water and just having a good time. Seemed like a scene right outta woodstock with the "mudpeople" haha. I had a blast. I mean, I told all the friends I went with that rain or shine I was not missing the people I wanted to see.
