i am eternally grateful that, no matter what, at the end of the day i can still run my musical career however the hell i want. *bonus* you don't have to love it. |
you know something though, in 20 years or something will you look back & be proud of what you've done. A one or two trick pony overall, and remixing tracks like cafe del mar, well, nobody has done that before have they? Seriously, it's obvious you're taking it all as a joke, and yeah, some people like it, but there's an awful lot of people who die a little more inside when they hear it. Those are the people who've spent all their money supporting artists in the past and present and will do so in the future. As soon as your sound becomes old to the rest of the people, and they move onto whatever fad is thrust upon them next you'll end up being nothing and if you want to survive in the business have to innovate your sound, but by then you'll already need a really clever new alias because nobody will want to listen to something by deadmau5 because it's trend following music by numbers. Why take the easy route when you could spend some time making a good career for yourself as a more respected artist, along the lines of Oliver Lieb, Quivver, Timo Maas & anyone who's managed to innovate their sound throughout the years and retain some credibility whilst doing so.
