Basically, the 5D/5D2 are known for their IQ (image quality). I would like to see how the 850 stacks up to em.

Yeah, I always found that to be a bit cheeky of them. Charging the same amount as Canon, but for a non-IS lens just because the cam has the IS. But then, it is Sony, after all

well from the sound of it they are charging more than Canon L for their lenses. thats kinda nuts.
