I love the Schneider beers, they're awesome. Still never had Paulaner or Franziskaner though (nobody around here sells them ) |
You're not missing out. Weihenstephaner and Erdinger are superior to Paulaner. Probably Franziskaner, too, but that's debateable.
I just had an Erdinger with dinner, it was delicious.

Just got back home from a work trip to delightful (cough) Geelong where I was hosting a science of beer event.
We got a brewer in to help us out, the beers he makes are seriously good.

Very few retailers outside of Vic, but well worth hunting down imho. |
Yes, this shit is great. I've had it a couple of times.
I tried a huge amount of good and bad beers last year, actually. Some I can remember:

Dreher, a Hungarian beer is really excellent, I wish I could find it more often:

I'll be happy if I never drink another pilsener again. So sick of that watery taste, and that even includes the good Czech ones like Urquell.
Last year I also tried a lot of different kinds in Belgium from boutique breweries, including trappist and lambic (natural yeast insemination), and none of them really did it for me. I just don't like Belgian-style beers, really.
At the moment, I'm really digging these two Polish drops, which were a 2010 discovery also:
Also, this is nice:
But, if I'm being really honest, these days I'm just as happy with one of these (+vodka) as I am with any beer:
I do not understand why this product doesn't exist worldwide.
