wussup y'all! I had introduced myself before Coxy in March to you guys in Denver/Boulder, but unfortunately I've since left and returned home to Montreal .
I only got a chance to go to the Church one time, for Adam Beyer who really ripped it up. I really wanted to go to see Carl Cox and Ferry Corsten in April, but it was hard to convince working folk from Boulder to go down to Denver on a Thursday night at 11pm! What a bad day to book world-class talent, but oh well what can you do.
I have to say, I can really relate to the "girls coming up to you begging for drinks." My friends and I were all around 23-24 (legal), and literally 5 minutes after we had arrived at the Church for Beyer and people noticed we had armbands, they swarmed! This one girl took off her shirt for us she was so desparate!! Is this a normal occurrence?!?!! We were shocked..crazyness. I'll post some pics at some point so you guys can ID her :P (Mia from CO Springs, any help?)
The night of Rank1, we went to this other club instead after much protest, called Rise I think it was. The club itself was really nice and big, with different rooms etc, but the music sucked and the atmosphere was pretty cheesy . I had read on the Church flyer that it was open till 5am on the weekends, so I figured we could go there after Rise closed at 2! but no! We showed up at the Church round 2:15am to find the doors closed! SUCKED!! guess that shows how touristy we were... really disappointed about that. Here in Montreal, the headliners only usually come on at 4m till say 8 am, so I guess I was used to other things.
Anyways, Boulder was chill! Denver was nice the couple times we went out (plus the flashing:P wtf). Unfortunately I didn't meet any of y'all, but who knows maybe I'll be back! And if anyone comes up to Montreal, you know where to post to get in touch! lates!
