let it be known i am switching back to technics 1200s and scratch live within 2 months. I can't deal with this cd shit anymore, and I miss playing my vinyl. I have a shitty sony belt drive that I've managed to use riding pitch. but it doesn't hold tempo

seems like a lot of people are re-making the transition to vinyl recently

still the one thing that will keep me from going back to vinyl is the wow and flutter thing, even tech's don't hold their pitch as well as cdj's obviously. though i played on these vestax TT's that were fuckin ace- digital pitch display, +/- 8% regular pitch slider, and a horizontal +/- 100% slider (i think)

yeah, i find that well tuned techs are pretty pleasurable to play on.


i've got way too many tracks and cds and I just can't do the cd thing anymore. it's affecting the way I deejay because of the way I have to select tracks/the way i have it organized.

dude for you damn digital track download whores get mp3 tag tools. you don't have to spend so much time with tags, filenames, etc! listen to the geek assholes!

can't disagree with you on that. the only thing that keeps me from going serato/traktor scratch is a) not owning a pair of tech's (numarks just don't cut it) and b) not wanting to fuck around with hooking up all that shit at gigs. i'd rather just grab my most recent cd book and go.
