I remember reading a poll around late February that put support for the war at 30 some percent. It said that the overwhelming majority of Americans thought we shoudn't go to war unilateraly, and stick with the UN plan. And I found it in many reputable publications, too. Does anyone remember which one I'm talking about? I wish i could find it now, but knowing the Bush administration, they probably ordered the media to shred all evidence of that poll. |
- Yes I remember too, that's why I've been looking for the sources, I saw one on the Miami Herald Newspapers back then, and on the CNN polls Im sure there was the majority of people said that they would support a war if they go with the UN, and majority didn't want a war if they would go alone. Overall, the support was on the 30's or so. Closer to war though the support increased when BUSH went and talked to the nation. Im really not going to what Gallup said, plus that's the results from March 22nd and not before, I don't see anything about that. And me stating that the majority of support before the war was high, I mean, 1-2 months before war, I remember it was actually below the 50%.. anyways, I can't find that info again.. so really, there's no SURE answer in both sides if majority supported or not.. Im sticking to what I remember seen, though I hope I can find the info and prove it.
