Well, even if Syria has WMDs, there's no international agreement which states it isn't allowed to possess those, so it has every right to store millions of tons of antrax and small pox if it wants to.

bashar is of course less cruel, mad and intelligent than saddam (and his own father..in fact this hard father-dumb son story reminds me of Bush sen and jun ) but nevertheless we're talking about a dictatorship here, one whih fuels hatred between arabs and israelis/americans and - in syria's, as opposed to iraq's case, it's a fact - sponsors terrorism (namely hizb'allah if not also hamas and djihad)

but okay i was still much more concerned with saddam than with dumb little bashar. Khatami and that Lybian Hash-Hippie are much more dangerous.

Powell: U.S. Has No Plan to Attack Syria, Iran
Tue April 15, 2003 12:15 PM ET

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Secretary of State Colin Powell said on Tuesday the United States has concerns about the policies of Iran and Syria but it has no "war plan" to attack them or other nations.
"We have concerns about Syria. We have let Syria know of our concerns. We also have concerns about some of the policies of Iran. We have made the Iranians fully aware of our concerns," Powell told reporters.

"But there is no list, there is no war plan right now to go attack someone else either for the purpose of overthrowing their leadership or for the purpose of imposing democratic values," Powell said.

HA!!! I told all of you so.

Who's next?

How about setting boudaries and helping to create a Palestinian state.
That would reduce much of the ire that fuels hatred of America.
Good fences make good neighbours. Unfortunately, the fence is pretty thin in Jerusalem.

its fun how israelis view someone who stands to its words and won't bend over to israelis demands. His father did so, and he will do so. You want peace with Syria, you have to give back the WHOLE of Golan, Syria said it a million times and will do so for the next 1000 years. Israelis just don't want that, they play around, change mind every 2 weeks, heck, event lost a prime minister in the process... Israelis seeing that their tactics aren't gonna work with Syria are asking their little dog (Bush adm.) to wage war and pressure Syria. B

Bashar an idiot?? proves again you don't really know who he is.
