Travelling to Germany ?
Hotels in Germany:
You can book hotels via brokers like www.hotel.de, www.hrs.de. These brokes often have special offers and promotions and may be the easiest way to arrange accomodation Other option is directly contacting the hotel. Often you end up paying actually more than booking through a broker, though.
Which hotels have been tested by GTAs today and can be recommended ? (keep in mind, that this is a very very limited choice!)
www.etap-hotel.de : cheap hotel chain from Accor-Hotel.
www.ibis-hotel.de : a little bit more expensive than the Etap-Hotels, again from Accor-Hotel A&O Hostel am Zoo http://www.aobackpackers.de/site/pa...te=001&ssite=01
Travelling around:
Public Transport is actually quite good in Germany, almost all towns can be reached via railway, most bigger towns via airplane. Some towns are connected with a bus network (sometimes way cheaper than the other options). www.lufthansa.de (has some offers like 92 Euro flights with return ticket within Germany) www.ryanair.com (has some offers below 100 Euro, too. Also cheap way of getting to Germany, although you land quite some way off the bigger cities and have to find a way of getting "downtown") www.bahn.de (has a weekend ticket and some good offers like a Loveparade-ticket)

Clubbing Info:
For the bigger events like the Love From Above (http:www.thelovefromabove.de) or Loveparade Afterparties you can get tickets via www.cts.de / www.eventim.de For most other parties (especially clubs) it´s either just a presale in some local recordshops and most of the time you have to pay directly at the door. Door Policies: different clubs draw different audiences... a GateCrasherKid won´t always get into some of the posher London clubs. Same can be true in Germany. Some clubs don´t have a door policy (besides being not obviously drunk/full with drugs), sme have a very very strict door. Techno/Trance is not necessarily as big as House or Garage on "Dress to impress" tactics, but not everywhere are sportshoes accepted, for example. Try asking around a bit in advance before the party if unsure.
