Anyhow, about the mixer choices.
Id go with the American DJ over the Behringer, if I only had those two choices.
Honestly speaking though, for the money, I would not get a American DJ. Personally, I believe they are a bit over priced, cause you then got gemini and numark that provide about the same or better with a little less money.
I would go with Gemini or Numark, as they are both real good for the money. Obviously, they are not as good as a Rane or Pioneer, but they are also a few hundred dollars less.
Because of your choice of mixers, im assuming your into hip hop, or some type of music that commonly has scratching involved?
And you must be wondering what about all the stuff behringer gives you for the money..
You have to wonder about the quality of the mixer and sound. Ive heard a few complaints of behringer, thats why Ive always stayed away from their dj products. Ive heard about common bleeding in the crossfader. Bleeding does tend to happen on cheap mixers, but when I used my Gemini, it had no problems. I've also had friends who have used Gemini and Numark, and never had problems with the mixers.

ey Ricky knows what he's talking about. I mean just go to his site and check out that clothing! LoL I'd trust that... I would say that for the money maybe a numark mixer and or gemini would be the best choice above. If you're going into scratching Vestax does have a good rep, you can get a lower-end pmc for good prices as well. Perhaps a matrix mixer or ps series. I haven't read any good reviews from american DJ, only mediocre ones. As for behringer... the vmx got overall good reviews, alothough i hear that they don't stay in top form too long. These are only from reviews, el del mar knows more from experience
