If you want to make it big Djing (hard like hitting it hollywood style) you have to remember nearly no big DJ now doesn't produce their own music. In fact I'd say it's nearly impossible to be a big name DJ without producing music. You'll be able to DJ without school but you won't go anywhere with it. There are big DJ's without lots of productions, however if you don't go to college or university you're gonna have a hell of the time in the studio. I plan on taking a course in this as an elective. If you drop out and work at a place like mcDonalds, you will have to wait years on something that odds are against you. You won't be able to afford a studio and support yourself too well without a high school education. If you get fired from your job, who's gonna hire someone without a high school education after getting fired? Do decent, and get to college you'll be much better off. You've got a better chance, you may even be able to go to other countries and meet with a whole bunch of music cultures etc.. etc. School can only help even if it does take some time away. You can still practise with enough time between school and work. |
yeah well first of all even if i try to make it to the big dj name i dont think ill make it, and i dont have plans to do so. i just wanna do it for fun, u know. like a hobby for example. of course its everybody's dream to make it to the top, but not everyone makes it. i read this article about tiesto and the article said that tiesto never thought he would be a big one, so i dunno. btw, workin at mcdonalds as a manager is better than working elsewhere. i wanted to quit once but they couldnt afford that. i dont think ill get fired. they just love me, i dunno. i cant work in a factory or somethin. my job isnt hard at all, i just sit on the computer all day. i chek my email at work to, lol. but neways, right now i wanna dj in small clubs nd stuff. but for the future, not sure.
