Too true. Through the media we hear about a lot of men beating their wives and what not. But by that same token there are acts of violence perpetrated by women as well. But as RJ so well put, everyday, in all parts of the world, there are acts of violence by humans against humans and animals. So if you're going to organize a walk against something, make it against violence in general. Make it against the injust killings, beatings and tortures caused by governments, wars and other violence-fueled campaigns.
Simply singling out one particular party is not going to make things any better. If anything it simply ignores the other victims of violence including men. I will not support any cause like this. I would never advocate violence against anyone least of all women but I really think they've missed the point and need to broaden their scope to include other victims of violence if they really want to build a stronger following.
