Retail MSRP will be USD $270.00 we will carry them for only $199.99 USD. There are 3 major differences between DJX700 and Pioneer DJM line:

1. Behringer DJX700 has 3band EQ instant Kill Switches
2. 47 Different channel assignable effects with XPQ surround sound, not like Pioneer that only has 9 and no XPQ surround sound.
3. DJX700 has 24bit digital technology, Pioneer only 16bit.

Only one advantage DJM600 has is the sampler.

John we not only stopped carrying Vestax 275, but ALL vestax mixers. We only have one 250 2ch rotary left and it is being sold at a clearance price, and that's it for Vestax. As far as law suits, can't and won't happen, you see there is no Patent on the way something looks, internal components design yes, but not how something looks on the outside. Look at the whole Behringer Line vs. Other brands:
Pro DJX400 == Pioneer DJM300S
DX052 == Vestax 05
Pro DX626== Allen & Heath XONE 32

$200 for the new Behringer?

I know Pioneer charges a bit more because they are pretty firmly entrenched in the club scene, but don't you think that Behringer has to be saving some major costs somewhere?? $200 vs. $750 (DJM500) .... that's a HUGE gap. What do you guys think?

I agree, they have to be saving somewhere. then again, behringer is in the pro audio business, whereas pioneer is typically not. meaning they'd probably have access to cheaper parts.

which is better? it's hard to say. last rave i went to, i saw them carrying a DJM-3000 out, not a behringer though.

(and tranz, i was mostly joking about the lawsuit, but legal or not, they are rip off artists)

John and everyone else, let me put it this way. Behringer is like a large retail stores chain that have their "own" house brand, take sears for example and their Kenmore line of major appliances. Guess what, for those that have Kenmore appliances at home, Kenmore is made by either Maytag, Whirlpool, or Fridgidaire, but because it is a "house brand=Kenmore" absolutely identical item will cost waaaaay less money then a brand name. Another examnple is store branded aspirin vs. Bayer or even Tylenol. If you look at ingridients, they are absolutely the same, but the store brand is almost half the cost.

And yes, since Behringer is in pro audio business and they are quite large at it, they get mass quantity of parts therefore they are a lot cheaper. Pioneer charges a lot for the name as well, just like SONY charges way too much for their large electronics like TVs and Camcorders, just because it is a Sony you end up paying quite a bit more.

yes, but, I don't shop at walmart either, undercutting bastards.
nah, if the behringer really sounds as good and does as much as the DJM600, it might very well put pioneers DJ division out of business.

*edit, i made a poll, it's located here --> MIXER POLL

*edited below to reflect new poll results*

well, vestax PCV 275 is winning so far, but just barely over the DJM 600

looks like it's a popular mixer, i think your store could be making money selling it.

well, vestax PCV 275 is winning so far, with almost triple the second place DJM600, and more votes than 2nd, 3rd and 4th places combined.
(DJM 600, DJM300, and Vestax 175)

looks like it's a popular mixer, i think your store could be making money selling it.

Nope, sorry John:

1. out of over 17,000 plus members only what 50 votes, doesn't cut it
2. getting only 12 votes for Vestax 275 out of some 50 votes means people prefer OTHER mixers than Vestax
3. the poll should have been Vestax 275 vs. others if you wanted to single it out as the most favorable mixer among TA.
4. Regardless, John you made a great poll and I think it should be anchored by MODS, so that everyone can respond and newbies will see it and respond right away too...

well, glad you like the poll. but regardless, the poll is as it should be, i wanted to find out what the most popular mixer among tranceaddict DJs is, and that is what the poll does.

it doesn't have to be PCV275 against everyone else to prove that it's more popular than everything else.

Not trying to start a war or flame here, but out of those 17,000+ members here, not even close to all of them DJ. John's 50 cuts better then you claim.
