What did I do? LOL! Saw u for a split second, but regardless, thanks for the compliment!
Decent TA turnout, but it seemed like we were all scattered at times. In attendance: High Spirit, TranceXtacy, cuzo, diginut, DJ MG, Jenna Rae & Mike, Walter Mindz, Kevin Earth, shaya007, nismodreams, diet cocaine, TranceGeek & bliss'ntrance. OH! I was walking thru the Drink, and some girl stopped in her tracks when she saw me- turns out it was Andora Star and she recognized me from all the pics. LOL!
Christopher Lawrence went on just after 1am, and he was done by 3:20am. His set seemed like it took a bit to pick up to the pace I wanted to hear, but when he dropped some tracks off his Exposure IV cd, things really got moving. Can't ID anything that isn't on his cd (typical of his sets), and the tunes were good, but I just wanted to sit and chat with everyone (just the mindframe I got into). Still, it was a better set than his last time here at the Guv. This was the most crowded I've seen the Guv in a while. Place was crawling with those creepy Indian dudes who hit on you week after week, and don't even remember if they've hit on you 5 min's earlier. When u reject them, they move onto your friend 3 inches away. ~ I shivver~
Highlight of the nite was, once again, Mark Oliver. Did he EVER bang it out! Highlight tunes for me were hearing BXR tunes "Strance"- DJ Arabesque vs. Jakyro, and "Trip on the Moon"- Paola Peroni. Got to observe Mark on the decks for 20 mins, and let me tell you- it was mindboggling! The way he had 3 records going on the decks for so long, using both sides of the vinyls, doing that little 'rewind' thing over the tune repeatedly. Very, very impressed!
Went to Adrian's for the after party, tried to make it to the Om Fest volunteer meeting (so I can save $70 on entry), made an illegal left turn on Bay St. cuz I thought it was ok on Sundays, got a $90 ticket. At least the cop was really nice and told me to appeal it in traffic court. My sketchy ass had him laughing at my stupidity over numerous bungles- if only he knew.... Even had a funny chat about my license plates. In the end, i was late to meet my friend for the Om training meeting, and by the time she actually called me, I was already back home, unwilling to leave. Bleh! Not looking forward to paying full price to go....
and I STILL need a nap.....!!!!!
