The people on this site who know their gear and the horizons possible in music will immediately see that Plastic Boy "Silver Bath" is very immature. Aside from a good melody, it is does not push music forward in any way.
Those who have never touched a JP-8000 and have no idea what a TR-909 looks like will obviously like "Silver Bath" because it has a melody that sounds good to the ear.
SUMMARY: These two groups of people are using TOTALLY different criteria to evaluate music. The former judge by complexity, the latter judge by emotional response. Therefore, the debate will never be resolved.

Now now, let's not be hypocritical here.I love Oliver Lieb as much as you do,but don't forget how much heat Lieb got for those three infamous samey-remixes(Utah Saints,Warrior,Oakey)

Mike has recently bought a Virus C synthesizer (I was in the shop when he did). And in my opinion he's breaking in his new instrument in his latest tunes
Could be wrong though...
The thing is wether the music he produces is revolutionary or not, the man still knows what to do to move the crowds. Maybe he doesn't use the synths at their full potential, maybe the basslines sound basic and devolved. You can bet that when his tunes get spun in clubs or on gigs, the crowd goes wild. He's not in in to make a revolution, he just knows what the crowd wants and usually, he delivers.

Huh?People like to talk. That's why he's always experimenting. That's why he has so many alias. And no, he's not overrated.
