To me it looks fake! But I'll take your word for it. Why does a beemer need a spoiler though?

unless you are saying something legit the makes people want to kill you. any point you may have been trying to make is forgotten in the red mist that covers the visions of the readers. So unless you are just being an ass (which is highly possible) use words instead of emoticons if you want to make a point, otherwise you are just being a wank.
cheers

Yeah but the amount of downforce produced is not enough to warrant a spoiler. I mean with F1 cars then a spoiler is absolutely necessary (taking 90 degree turns at 60 mph ) but for "normal" cars all spoilers really do is cut down on gas mileage.

A valid point, however the E30 M3 is not a normal car by any means. They only released 5 thousand of them to the streets, and released far more than that on the race track. This car came straight from the factory as a bull blown race car, and the spoiler is absolutely necessary to provide ample down force. And yes, this car can take sharp turns at very high speeds (far more than 60). Your case would be right in many cases, but this car is not a "normal" car at all. I could give you a ride on a curvy road and you would lose your lunch. I know because it has happened before.

Exactly. And how does the spoiler look fake? Where are you guys getting your arguments? I'm so confused here....
Don't make these statements please, unless you know what you are looking at. I am not trying to start a war, just stating please do some research before making blatant critical comments. Thanks

Perhaps this will clear things up as to what the car was made for:
The E30 M3 stands today as the winningest DTM race car of all time. Over a span of 4 years it managed to win more races than any other DTM car in the world. That record still stands.

yah hes right. alt this gen m3 in the States wasnt as 'purebreed race car' as the Euro model, it still isnt as tame as your average Accord with a spoiler...
generally the rule is that high amounts of downforce arent needed unless the car goes above 200- but you cant get nitpicky. and i dunno why its assumed that only CA cars have spoilers on them|
