I can't believe how William Orbit has managed to steal the thunder away from Samuel Barber-the composer of "Adagio for Strings." Simply by throwing the track on his "remix" album "Pieces in a Modern Style," Orbit managed to make his name almost synonymous with the track, at least based on the comments here. Even his "remix" was virtually identical to the original piece, he didn't (couldn't) even throw in a beat... it definitely sounded more synthesized, but that's it. There are a billion other versions/recordings of it out there and it was featured in Platoon back in '86. The point is, give credit where credit is due--it's Samuel Barber's piece, not William Orbit. Ferry and Tiesto remixed Samuel Barber's work, not Orbit's.
