Exactly. If I want to check out of there's any news on TA, I do not want to wait 10 seconds for a movie to load. Even now I don't understand why the splash page with the lizard is necessary.

thats my old flash intro when i was still learning(2002). Sound and idea jacked from 2advanced but i created the whole content myself.


i'll have a TA intro up after i finish finals....and then see what you guys think. And don't worry, i won't jack anyone's idea, I have a BUNCH of animation ideas to make you have goosebumps.

I hope its not put as an intro movie to TA then, but as an "about movie"
or whatever. No offense to anyone but if i want to see a movie i
visit the cinema, if i want to hear a tune i listen to the vinyl.

if i want to discuss with people i head for the forum, i dont wanna
watch some slowloading flashmovie that will prolly require a new component
to download everytime i "want" to watch it.

Well, why wait?
Several have expressed that we feel that the site gets slower, that
flash is unnecessary, requires more plugins and is just a unnecessary
distraction. Im sure you can make a good flashmovie, but it doesnt
matter if the purpose of it doesnt fill a function vital to the site.

as a 56k modem user i have sites which use flash with a vengence, what creates a good website is content, not pretty animations with lil whistles and flashing lights
