Aye Tiesto and uncle ferry for definate. Also i think we can expect to see the likes of a certain Mr Timo Maas just get more and more well known, at least i hope so i just luv his percussive out-the-way stylee!!

Speakin of tiesto, any of you lot heard the tune he did with Storm & Montana, its called 'Bleckentrommel'. All you uplifting trance fans will probably hate it with a passion, but those of us who like the dark sid3e of trance will love it!!!

p.s. love the nu smilies swamper!!

i agree with the 80's remixes as they are already starting to come out (check the jeff mills remix of dead or alive-you spin me around) and the use of 80's type sounds (trisco-musak, saints and sinners-pushin too hard, alchemy-bruiser all influenced by new order) and i see dj's like steve lawler, sander kleinenberg, futureshock, and craig richards/lee burridge coming to the forefront. i really can't see trance being around in it's current state for too much longer as the key producers are moving on to new genre's. look out for steve lawler's remix of trisco-musak it is a serious, serious track.

I hope cheesy trance dies a sudden, painful death. I also hope DJ Scot Project releases a new remix or original song that does not sound like the last 15 he has done. Furthermore, the US scene will remain pathetic and any local talent hoping to make it big will still have to migrate to Europe.

I think it's kind of sad how close minded some people can be, simply to label something pathetic because of it's country of origin. Although the scene is not nearly as big as it is in Europe, it is growing. Wax shops going up here and there, and even a little radio airtime (albiet very little).

There is good American trance as well as good American DJ's if you look for it. I've already recommended Joshua Ryan in this thread as an example of an excellent producer, here's a few more Deepsky, Doran, BT (Yes Brian Transeau is American born in Washington DC, grew up in Maryland), and Thomas Trouble (He's a local SF Bay Area DJ just came out with a fantastic track called "Mysterious Skies")

I'm not saying that it's all good, or even that they're better than their European counterparts, I just can't stand it when people automatically dismiss the music simply because it's "American". Good music is good music no matter where it comes from.

Suzaku

P.S. In a post promoting American talent, I have to give props out to some great local DJ's, Mars & Mystre, Dyloot, Tom Slik, and Gianni

I'm yet another Dutchie myself, but I hope the US-scene will grow bigger. It'll just provide all of us with more and better music.

I mentioned Valencia&Christopher a few times before and I'll do it again: their trackselection isn't very good but the mixing is awesome. Try downloading one of their Cd's if you can find'em. Otherwise just contact me @ napster. My nick is DwingoZ.

this has nothing to do with up and coming in trance (just watch out for more progressive I predict it will be the major trend until we get bored of it too)

Simcut dude, I know this is a free board and all I guess but your smilie face that gets de-smilied is really gross and I think u shouldn't put stuff like that in your messages..

just my 2 cents..

latez...

Trance is gonna grow big time!! Especcially here in Holland because the commercial scene has to fuck everything that sounds good up (they did it with gabber). Thats really pissing me off, I can´t stand that some assholes have got to buy everything that lies in the CD store just because everybody is listening to it. Those guys will fuck things up just like they did with gabber. Gabber is now at its alltime low because of those bastards (no more partys, no more dj´s, no more cd´s) and why? because gabber became old and everybody wanted something new and the only gabbers that stayed where the real Die hards. But nobody wanted to give a party for them because then they wouldn´t make enough profit as before!I hope this isn´t gonna happen!.
