is 'opium garden' the same thing as 'opium'? I remember going to a Opium in South Beach about a couple of years back... If i remember correctly it was a pretty large space with restaurant on the left side (upstairs but open). Then, towards the right center, an open dance floor with a roof type hut on top, and then another dance area towards the back (with a bar), where they were playing hip-hop.
Over all theme of the place was kinda Japanese if i remember correctly.
Im wondering if thats the same place...

Opium Garden used to be Amnesia back in the day...it is one of the only open air clubs in the south East that I am aware of. The dancecfloor is covered from the elements...but the majority of the main room is open air..just you and the stars...very nice.
There are 3 other rooms that surrond the main room...and look down upon it from the windows. There was once a sushi bar built in...but that has since closed. I will tell you this...drink prices are outragous. During WMC I paid $22 for a double grey goose and cranberry...ouch!
I used to live in Miami, and travel doen there every year for WMC. It is a FANTASTIC club...and rates as one of my favorite clubs in the U.S.

yeah, its the same place then. It was high scale club, pretty nice club. Though you right, drink prices are or were expensive. I remember paying something similar for drinks the night i was there, that is something i do remember. I didnt pay cover, cause my girl and me were treated by her friends brother, who took us all in a limo and vip, since it was her friends birthday night.

Hell yeah That place was the shit back around 1997-2000. I use to go there for colors. I also frquented warsaw ballroom wich is now the food place, but I will be at AVB.

I just found out, Markus Schulz will be opening for AVB at Opium Garden and will record AVB's set to air on a future GDJB show.
That place was the shit back around 1997-2000. I use to go there for colors. I also frquented warsaw ballroom wich is now the food place, but I will be at AVB.
