9 months, just now getting good at beatmatching. Used to be I would spend the entire track beatmatching then hurry and mix it cause it was the end of the first record. hehe. NOw I can concentrate on my mixin technique, or lack thereof.

only thing holdin me back is $$$ for records. These guys get expensive, especially when you are jobless, and mixing the same 20 is only fun for a month or two.

Been mixin for about 3-4 months now I guess, on a friends equipment, waitin for school loans for fall to come in so I can buy my own!!!

Yeah, and I'm total shit, kinda like the post above or so speakin of spendin the entire record to beatmatch, than having a shitty transition, thats where I'm at for sure!!! One of my buddies has been doin it for a year, and he's way better at it. He said that it comes w/ practice, that he has the occasional mess ups now, but that he is confident in his abilities. Another one of my buddies has been doin it for a few years now and is good, he has tons of records and tons of equipment to boot!!!

K I'm done now. . .

"I’m a dance floor favorite? Great! I would say the passion that I feel for the music I buy and the honesty with how I play it. I play the records I love not the ones that simply work. I’ve never taken the easy music option (which would make me a lot more money by the way) but chosen to push people a little. I try to draw people in a new direction slightly and expand their taste a little more than other DJ’s." - Lee Burridge
