hey, just had a listen to your other tunes and even tho some of them arent my style they are all brilliantly produced! The strings used in Far Away are fantastic! I think you should definately think about doing a more trancey mix of that tune.

That Wherever You Are track I'm afraid I didn't like much. Sorry - keep at it though. Sounded formulaic to me; and the girl sounded a little aimless.
You should check out Christian Rusch's work. He's doing the same thing as you: using Reason to produce tracks on his crappy computer. He's just been signed and has released his first commercial track in Europe; title is Rusch & Murray - Epic. If you haven't already downloaded his free stuff you can get it from here: http://www.beatmaka.com/v2/music/artist.php?id=455 It'll give you some ideas I'm sure.
Also, you should try doing some remix's; that's what Rusch did.
Hope you don't mind some critisism. I'm no expert so what I say you can take with a grain of salt for sure.
Goodluck in the future.
Btw, I'm interested in what you think of the Adelaide Trance scene. I've only been a hardcore fan of Trance for about a year now and in that time I've never seen or heard of any Adelaide producers or Dj's that are doing well; in fact I'm not even sure there are any Trance DJ's or signed producers from Adelaide? Is the Adelaide scene dead or have I just not been looking hard enough?
Cheers

heya man.. nah i take criticism fine. you should maybe check out my other tracks cos i havent been writing trance for long (that song you heard was actually my second trance song ever written) but ive been producing electronic music in general for the better part of a decade now so maybe you'd find something better in there.. my trance tunes so far are very formulaic and im aware of that =) because im still laying down the, you know, structural side of things and general ground work..
and yeah ive heard rusch's work.. already heard that "epic" song.. he's getting it remixed by above&beyond soon hey and being released on ajunabeats?? im jealous. i love above&beyond a lot.......
wrt to local adelaide scene though.. i havent been in the trance scene for that long either. i mean, yea ive been listening to it for a while but havent kept an eye on the actual dj/producing scene in adelaide and to my knowledge i didnt think there was much of a proper trance scene here =( there was a suprisingly large turnout to when ferry came down last though..
from what ive noticed tho, the only proper trance i hear is once in a while some of the boring doods at heaven will drop a good tune.. this is like, once every 10 tunes.. but then again i never go to that place.
thanks again for listening!

nah i havent been signed to any label yet. i dun think im even close to writing releaseable trance material yet. ive been signed to two record labels for my drum&bass side though..
i'll first need to find a different name to release under as to not conflict the different genres i compose for..

linh, "wherever you are" is a beautiful piece. i'm a sucker for piano synths. =) its a beautiful instrument. shame i gave it up. i like the vocal touch too. no cheesy lyrics. very simple. percussions sound a lil piercing tho, then again, could be my headphones. it is very formulaic, but then that was your intention.
please, let me know when you've finished touching this up. love to play it. will check out ur other tunes.
hehe, u may have jus inspired me to delve into producing.
