I will gladly do so. Dogs were trained by man to be servants and give him unconditional loyalty. Even if the owner treats his dog like shit, the dog will continue to serve him.
Of course some dogs are smarter than others, but i've seen dogs terrified by a little cat in the street, or from the sound of a boiler starting. But the most convincing evidence i have to date is my neighbors' dog. It barks pretty much 24/7. It's enough it'll see a hint of a cat several yards away and will start barking for hours. And the cat's looking at him like, wtf does he want from me - he's tied to a pole... The cats don't take its barking seriously because they know it can't do shit, but it continues nonetheless.
Cats can be very devious. Have you ever seen a cat hunt? It's pretty amazing...
In any case, even if you say that dogs are more 'intelligent' or communicate better with people, cats definately have more in 'street smarts'. They're definately better at taking care of themselves. |
cats are just damn plain evil, my friend had to have his cat's
claws removed because it would jump his old dog (old dog, no
reflexes, also pretty small and defenseless) and tear him up
pretty bad. the dog would just walk by my friend in the morning,
wag its tail as if to say hi and the cat would be all over him.
if the dog walked near the couch where the cat was sitting, he'd
get jumped & clawed. till one day, my friend got a new dog, a pup,
which within a year had put the cat in its place. no cat be screwing
with a german shepherd
funny how you mention 'street smarts'... hmm, now what do we see
on the streets more often? stray dogs or stray cats? hmmm, maybe
they just have more subtle street smarts, or maybe theyre too smart
to be seen...
