I will gladly do so. Dogs were trained by man to be servants and give him unconditional loyalty. Even if the owner treats his dog like shit, the dog will continue to serve him.

Of course some dogs are smarter than others, but i've seen dogs terrified by a little cat in the street, or from the sound of a boiler starting. But the most convincing evidence i have to date is my neighbors' dog. It barks pretty much 24/7. It's enough it'll see a hint of a cat several yards away and will start barking for hours. And the cat's looking at him like, wtf does he want from me - he's tied to a pole... The cats don't take its barking seriously because they know it can't do shit, but it continues nonetheless.

Cats can be very devious. Have you ever seen a cat hunt? It's pretty amazing...

In any case, even if you say that dogs are more 'intelligent' or communicate better with people, cats definately have more in 'street smarts'. They're definately better at taking care of themselves.

well if she didn't always do this and just started recently, then she might be pissed at you. if a cat deliberately shits somewhere (like on your bed or anywhere other than the litter box), it could be a sign that she's saying, "f*** you". i love cats...they don't require half the responsibilty as dogs do (even though i have 2 of those as well). it takes a special person to be able to appreciate the complexity of a cat's personality in my opinion

on the topic of dogs vs cats.. cats have a different way of showing loyalty. if u have a cat and it brings you a dead lizard or rodent and looks up at you and meows, it's his/her way of saying, "look what i did...i'm protecting you from this thing that was in the house"...or something like that. don't bash cats if you have never owned one...it's as simple as that.

and one more thing...when you stick your animal's nose in shit or piss and scold them, you aren't scolding them for pissing in the wrong place. they see it as punishment for pissing/shitting in general which can be confusing to them. only punish her when u catch her in the act.

sincerely,
Dr. Doolittle

cats are just damn plain evil, my friend had to have his cat's
claws removed because it would jump his old dog (old dog, no
reflexes, also pretty small and defenseless) and tear him up
pretty bad. the dog would just walk by my friend in the morning,
wag its tail as if to say hi and the cat would be all over him.

if the dog walked near the couch where the cat was sitting, he'd
get jumped & clawed. till one day, my friend got a new dog, a pup,
which within a year had put the cat in its place. no cat be screwing
with a german shepherd

funny how you mention 'street smarts'... hmm, now what do we see
on the streets more often? stray dogs or stray cats? hmmm, maybe
they just have more subtle street smarts, or maybe theyre too smart
to be seen...

I love kitties!!!!!!!!!

if your cat is old and pissing out of the box he/she could have a uti.

my cat used to scratch the side of the bed to wake me up when he didnt have any food, so i started shutting him in the laundry room on days i wanted to sleep in.... then he decided to poop in the dirty laundry i didnt want this to turn into a habit, so i asked my vet, who told me to leave a bar of soap in the dirty laundry b/c it will smell up the laundry and make it so the cat cant make the laundry smell like him

are you using new litter? did you move the box? is your cat fixed. usually old cats that stop using the box are either sick or trying to mark terrirory...

hope this helps...
