How was the show? Did they give him a good setup or was it a yuppy hell as expected?

pretty awesome show...hopefully someone mp3-ed it or has a tracklisting...

the soundsystem setup was pretty tight...very clean...

it was shoulder to shoulder tho...but my friends and i found a space in a corner where we were able to dance our asses off...so that was cool...

Heh, I guess you've never been at Arc in New York. No dress code. I love it!

Most of the better clubs here to get good music don't have a dress code. Lizard Lounge is probably the best as it is usually never $5 to get in over 21(use the coupon) and they book good people.

Awesome show, he started with 1st few tracks from his energy 2003 show.
Played in no order:

ATRC
michele nicole-time
tiesto-traffic
pvd-time of our lives twice
Ended w/ nothing but you

Club was completely sold out, about 2500 people. From the top floor the dance floor was moving as one. The whole floor was bouncing, literally. Drinks are steep in price, but it is the nicest club in Dallas.

Also, he used final scratch. Never fucked up once from what I could hear.

He alos played for an angel, but I have never heard the remix. It was pretty hard, but he did not play it for long, mixing quickly to the next track.

Was it Paul van Dyk vs. Marco V - For a Revolt?

Also, could have been the Nu-NRG mix...

Humm I thought the clubs in Dallas were dire incomparison to what we have in the UK, especially interms of the music and DJs on offer but this club sounds quite good if a little on the trendy less dance side. Hope you all had a good one anyway.... thank good I live near Godskitchen.. pvd in October!

OK, I thought the overall night was great. Paul pulled off a set nearly identical to the Energy 2003 one that's floating around. I would love to get a track listing of it if possible but EVEN BETTER would be if any of you guys in DFW could record the KDL rebroadcast that was announced to be THIS Friday 5 Sep from 10-2. If somebody could record and digitize and make available...that'd be awesome...it would more than make up for $30 entrance AND a $40 bar tab after a measly two drinks.

Wow, nice to hear KDL actually picking up real DJ shows.

The next good upcoming show is Sep 13th at the Lizard Lounge. D:Fuse is playing and always puts on a great show. www.dallasraves.org sometimes lists some decent stuff, but lots of junk to filter through.

We have D:Fuse in Austin the night before with Michael Anthony at Sky Lounge. And now I hear Tiesto is in San Antonio Oct 23 and Houston Oct 24. Maybe there's hope for Texas. NOW if I could just get one of you Dallas TAs to record that set this coming Friday 10-2 all will be sorted.
